    If they make it part of company benefits that are partially funded by employees, AND it’s in the paperwork that the policies, charges and benefits can be changed at any time without notice, then YES, they can.

    They cannot just arbitrarily put them in place and expect employees to cough up and also to participate. That, would result in a whole lotta sheet hitting the fan.

    It is perfectly legal for companies to charge employees wellness programs. If they are nice, they can give discounts.

    TIPS FOR LOWER CHARGES:

    .take less vacation time

    .sign up for a weight loss or a stop smoking program

    .see if your health care insurance company offers wellness program discounts
